The trek attendance thread is big enough, I figure pulling the Saturday specific run out into it's own thread makes sense, (as Jeff was planning).

We need to be hitting the road by 7am to get to the staging area and we might have even left slightly early last year.  Staging starts at 8am, depart at 9am.  As shared in the other threads, I think we can easily split the group up into 3 smaller groups with easy trail access and leaving space between.  We could go smaller groups but we start to run out of easy access to the loop and providing enough space to not be on top of eachother.

The starting points that seem easiest to use would be 19, 28, and 3. Maybe we send the guys that want to spend the most time on the rocks/biggest built (ballpeen/WH2) straight to 3 and people who want to run the whole loop to 19. The group that starts at 28 would be anyone planning to bypass the obstacles and thus hopefully not create a traffic issue even if they caught up to the group starting at 3.  Maybe we stagger the departure times by 5 minutes to reduce dust on the main road for people?

Our schedule should be similar to last year with a short pee break at 10:30, lunch at noon (30-60 minutes), break at 2 or 2:30 depending on lunch length, then head to parking lot to air up. Goal would be to air up by 3-3:30 and be back before dinner starts at 5 (kids raffle starts at 4 so any people with kiddos should plan to depart sooner than later).

For trail comms I am suggestion a two radio solution.  GMRS/FRS for in group communications with attendees and club frequencies to coordinate between groups.  I ordered a pretty cheap $125 25watt radio to try and if it works ok should be easy to obtain in time and allow for us to talk to each other anywhere on the loop.

I'm heading up tp Meadow Lake tomorrow (Friday) at 8am. I will text you all or post my (our) campsite location in this thread on the forum if I have service. Tuesday morning I will drive my tuck home and pick up my Jeep. I should be back to Meadow Lake around noon or so on Tuesday. Roy, I will be riding quads but I will try to meet you at the lake when you arrive on Saturday. Please text me when you are in Truckee for a more accurate ETA estimate.
