I have noticed that some of the scheduled club runs are not posted on the calendar. What is the proper protocol when posting a run? Should it be posted on the calendar in addition to being posted in the Trail Runs and Events section of the forum? When the runs are posted on the calendar it seems to make it easy to see when there is an upcoming run. So my question is, if a run is scheduled should the person posting the run also post it on the calendar?

Thanks!

Yes, the protocol is that when someone posts a run they need to post it on the calendar also.  Posters are not putting them on the calendar.  So do it people!!!  Presidents orders!!

Occasionally someone will post it on the calendar for someone else but if you post a run and you want people to go, put it on the calendar also!

Um...what?

This is awesome... glad it was brought up. I had no idea haha  I just assumed that the forum was the main avenue for trip planning. I will go and cross post onto the calendar right now 🙂

To bad we didn't have anybody that could write some code to create a calendar item when posting a new run/event on the forum! tongue

WordPress, while easy to manage through the UI, is written in PHP. When I open my PHP book, this is what I see!

That's funny I have never looked at the calendar for runs I always look at the runs on the forum section, cause that has the days, the Times and the meeting location and any other pertinent information that is needed to be known for the runs.

Just curious if that's a test for the computer illiterate members like mayself... Brent lol
