We will be having a 4X4 training class at Prairie City Off road park. We'll post the date ASAP (original date, PC booked up) Meeting at the upper bathroom in the 4X4 area, We will go over basic 4X4 safety procedures, what items your rig needs to have on a run and how to use them. Also will talk about items that are not required, but would be a good to have.
After we go through talking about that we will go down to the lower level and "play". This will be a good time for those that are just getting into Wheeling to come out and try out their rigs, be it stock or built. There is anything from easy dirt trails to more challenging rubicon-style difficulty courses. This run is open to all, if you have friends that have a 4X4 rig, even if they have never 4 wheeled before, invite them out to meet the club and have a great day off road. Perfect time for them to get a taste of 4X4ing.
Those of you that are "experienced" 4X4 wheelers, it would be extremely helpful if you all can come out and can help teach the newer folks some of the basics wheeling tricks out on the courses. This way those that haven't had much experience can get a chance to practice wheeling with instruction before going on a run out in the wilderness. Those that have just added items or modified their rigs this will be a good time to test everything out before the start of the wheeling season.
** note ** Prairie City charges $5.00 fee per vehicle.
This would be also be a good time for a "Club BBQ" for those that are membership prospects. If you are interested in doing that Post up on this thread and we can get that going. Prospects would provide and cook the main course, we would work up the rest of the meal potluck style.
If I can't build it, then it's something that should be bought.

Just point the front wheels where you want to go and hit the gas!
Most excellent advice
If he's learning, shouldn't we have him put it in gear first? I understand that "correct" jeep driving has to be done "just so" don't want to start bad habits right off the bat.

The "Jeeps Rule this Forum" was an old Posse Forum joke.
And I know trucks can go places that Jeeps can't go.
Like to the parts store to pick up more Jeep parts
Now that's a good one, John.......
I shouldn't laugh, but I did. and out loud too
