I plan to confirm the date early this coming week.
This is the opposite of the other Rubicon trip being posted. Here you will be required to be confortable with self spotting and following the lines of the rig in front of you. You won’t be getting out to look at obsticals for 80%+ of the trail. And you get Burger Lounge!!!
This will be the clubs first backwards day run.
Friday, July 19. Meeting at Burger Lounge, past the Y in Tahoe at 11 AM.
We will head over to the back side of the Rubicon after lunch and run the trail backwards.
The Run will not do little sleuce or old sleuce to ensure the highest probability of reliability.
Dinner will be self provided on the trail, and expect there to be night wheeling.
I anticipate we will be off the trail around 9 pm, barring problems, so let your family know it will be a later night.
Requirements:
In addition to posted club requirements and safety items:
35s and a rear locker for short wheelbase rigs,
37s and a rear locker for long wheelbase rigs, or 35s and 2 lockers for long wheelbase rigs.
On board air - you will be required to demonstrate YOUR ability to air down and air up before the run.
A spare tire. And a complete plug kit.
Please post interest and availability with the proposed date, plus any questions.
It will be nice to get back on the trail.
BRING a CB. We will be using CBs for this run.

If I remember correctly, you run the same axles as me, Dana Ultimate 60s.
You are welcome to borrow my spare for the run. Just strap it in the back of the Jeep.

Did some PM on my Jeep today with a friend before the run because I heard a squeaking sound in the engine compartment recently and I didn't want to be that guy (glad we are starting at the Burger Lounge Brad!). I replaced the idler, the tensioner and the S-belt. The belt didn't fit so I took it back. Did that twice before we realized that we weren't installing it properly. Oops!

HaHa So we know if anyone has a baby blue Yeti it was a prime deal. Yeah I got the 35 and 65. Have fun today. I need a few more trail days before I can go on one of these.
