The official dates are June 21 - 23. Some are doing it as a three day trip others are only taking two days (Mon & Tues). Who's going and when?
I plan to go but haven't decided if I'm going Sunday or Monday. Teddi won't be going this year so if I end up by myself I'll probably try to go Sunday but if I find a passenger it will depend on their availability.

Offline I was hoping to go, but couldn't get vacation that week. I am off the week prior. I was thinking of just going for the day on Sunday, but its probably not worth the effort.

Offline I'm going to join the Monday/Tuesday group after all.
I talked with Chuck today. He's going to be on Rubicon Friday, Saturday and Sunday with another group but plans to meet up with the Sunday group to head back in. He may need to make a pitstop for fuel before heading back in though.

Offline I just got off the phone with Chuck. He's going up Friday morning with some other guys who are running the trail that weekend. He's carrying in his little fishing boat and planning to do some fishing at Buck Island and may not make it back to Loon Lake for Sunday morning. If he's not at Loon when you guys want to head in he said not to wait for him and he'll see you at Buck.

I'm still working on a way to make it. But, it may mean driving in alone, something I'm not fond of.

Yeah, he's going to end up being at Buck for four nights. That's one nice long weekend!

Offline I have a family reuninon is Salinas on the weekend and my niece is getting married in Tahoe on Monday. That would mean I'd have to drive the trail backwards to Buck by mysaelf. I've driven the trail a lot and it doesn't worry me. But I just think wheeling by yourself is asking for trouble and a foolish thing to do. Accidents can happen.

I'll be heading up sunday & jim Deeds is riding with me. anyone wanting a leisurely cruise in sunday afternoon i'll meet you at the damn staging area about 11:00 am. im going to buck island & staying 2 nights.
