I guess it's just Rob, Justin and myself this year?
We are running from Tahoe to Buck on Sunday. I may just hang around Buck in the afternoon and wheel out in the evening. I'm not excited about sleeping with a people-friendly bear in the neighborhood. I know, I'm a wuss, but I have a hard enough time sleeping when I'm camping. Just knowing their is a people-friendly bear around will make for a long night of waking up to every noise, and then I'll be tired and grumpy the next day. I don't mind normal bears that can be chased away, but those people-friendly ones bother me. But, we'll see...
And if I do spend the night, don't be playing any bear pranks...my bear spray goes "BANG." 👿
I used to wheel a lot. . .

I'm not going to be sleeping at Union Valley.
Of course I'm [mostly] kidding about being afraid of the bear. But, doesn't it make you a little nervous when they report a bear that isn't afraid of humans?

After spending a week hiking in Glacier Park with grizzlies, I'm a little less afraid of bears. 😕
I'm sure you got good at whistling

We are planning to go, If I can get the time off and if we don't break too much stuff this weekend. Will probably go in sunday if i can figure out where the trail is. Last 3 times (only times) in from Loon have been "lost" "ish." 3 different routes, hopefully some of it was on the "trail"

Sounds like fun, just like the old days with me Justin and John : 😈 mrgreen: I finally get to wheel with Justin again It has been awhile!! Speaking of wheeling with Justin, I made a video of our Hammers trip. I need to get you and John a DVD copy. I think it turned out pretty good. I clipped down like 5 hours of video into a 25 minute film. Some of the photos I used in it were from 2007 when Keane and Larry were there, so they are also included in it. I will have to get them a copy too.

Yeah, but I am leaving Wednesday night to go to hat creek for 4 days. My plan was to pre pack for the run, come home early Sunday take a shower, and leave. just not enough time to get the rig fixed.

I just got back from Hat Creek. The creek is flowing high and fast but the fishing was good. Easy to get to spots because the fire burned all the brush away. I didn't get a chance to fish it, because I broke my rod on the McCloud River. But some friends fished it and had good luck. Enjoy yourself.

Great John, thanks for the info... I was up there a month after the fire, looked terrible, but did open up some areas that weren't possible to get to for years because of the brush..
