OfflineI'm always open for anyone who wants to go!!! Are you in on the Rubicon run or Fordyce. We have two trips planned in this thread!

Sounds good to me! It's like running the trail twice!

OfflineRan the Little Sluice today in my buggy. Hopefully someone there got some pictures. Sue was supposed to take pictures because she was to afraid to watch me thinking I was going to break something. Took a little horse power (maybe a lot ) to get past the first obstical then it was easy past there. I guess they can blow it up now that I have done it in the buggy ![]()

Rob and I are both.
Scott is the Rubicon run.
Do I have this correct?
Anyone else?
I am still a go for the Rubicon Run on 7Sep as long as I do not hold up folks with my relatively mild JKU. I guess the plan is Loon to Buck Island and back, 830 start at the Spillway?

Its really up to the crowed on how far we head in. If the LS doesn't take too long I would like to make it down to the bridge crossing the rubicon...everything beyond that is cake anyways and it would be nice to run back up OS. What do you guys think???
PS they cant blow up LS until I run it on Friday!!!!! ![]()

Not a problem. Maybe next time. Two weeks until Fordyce, but I think you should ride that trail before driving it or look for an overnight trip.

Rob/Scott. My passenger is driving up from Gilroy so can you PM me your cell #s? That way I'll call if I'm late and have to catch up on the trail with you guys.
So...we'll be hearing of the actual time elapsed from Loon to Springs of roughly ~3hrs or less. 8)

Since I've previously made Loon to the tahoe staging area in 4 hrs, the time you reference is doable, but I think our time is better spent in Old Sleuce becuase True Big Sleuce is now 80% gravel highway and kind of a waste of time...

OfflineIt took us about 1.3 hours to run into Buck island. After lunch we headed back up to the Little Sluice. I ran it then I spotted Scott through. Headed back out and right at the top of the Granite bowl, Brad ripped his front track bar off the frame. Couple hours of attempted welding fixes that failed, we chained and winched the front axle into place, and Brad limped it off the trail. He drove it to a place called the phone booth and called a tow truck. All in all, it was a great trip!!

OfflineFor my first JK breakage, it wasnt too bad. Scott and Rob helped out a lot, along with several other jeepers. I'm glad I didn't try little sleuce this trip as I likely would have broken in there and been stuck for a while.
I still though it was a great run and the weather was perfect.
