I normally put that event on but right now I'm crazy busy getting my parents settled into an assisted living facility. After things settle down I can try to arrange something or somebody else can take it on this year. Another possibility is to do it in conjunction with our club campout since they have two pits right there we can use.

I used to wheel a lot. . .

As we post up runs I do want to add some clarity specifically toward the Rubicon day runs.  As this run in particular involves no camping, pace is very important. If you are considering participating please be honest with yourself whether or not you require spotting on runs, and whether you are usually following the rig in front of you on runs, or whether you usually have a gap between you and the rig in front of you.

This run will have vehicle requirements of 35's and at least 1 true locker, but driving habits are just as important as your rigs set up.   Please post any questions here.  I will have a date for the first of these runs soon!  If you are still running the aluminum TPS sensors on your 07-11 JK, you must remove them before being allowed to go.

I will also plan on leading a day run on Barrett Lake. This particular run will be a weekday full, to the lake and back, run.  The club will also do the normal "do our best" Barrett run as well.  Kevin will probably post a Fordyce day run too!

There may be a fordicon run this fall too.  However it will have quite strict vehicle requirements because of its significant pace.

Does anyone know if Pardoe Trail is open?

I've never been on that one, it's supposed to have nice views (10000ft), and should be easy for anyone.

We are in for these runs. Typically no spotting required. Have been following Jeff lately, which is always fast, but accurate. Would lead, but also would get lost!

I would really love to get one more run in before we leave for Georgia but my pace would definitely be too slow for a challenging trail, I believe my Jeep would be able to make it but I'm so new that I would need a spotter regularly. If we happened to do the rubicon are there easy go arounds for the obstacles? We would even be willing to just ride along with somebody to get the experience and video the run.

We can't go Saturday but there's a chance we can go Sunday. We won't find out until Thursday if we can go, but I'll let you know as soon as I find out.

Unfortunately there aren't any additional by passes on the rubicon from the 2 we will take.

Well like I said if the trail is difficult, and somebody has open seats we would just ride along.

This all sounds good Brad. I may skip the Fordyce run until I run it slow once.

16E26 aka Pardoe aka Squaw Ridge aka Hungaleti Ridge is still closed as part of the 42 routes lawsuit.  It is on the bottom of the priority list for re-opening in the Amador High Country Routes Environmental Assessment.  Hopefully this trail as well as ours sees some action on the part of the Forest Service.  Likely to reopen in 2017 per the forest service's latest estimate.

We will lead a trail clean up run for that 11N whatever road we started to clean last year but have not finished yet.  Autumn sounds good to us but will solidify the plans when it's closer if that's ok??? sweating

Would you consider an evening run with a coffee/hot chocolate/dessert social up top, so we could night run down?

This is a good idea, we've had donuts all over our Jeep, why not crumpets too!

The long lost Suzuki Family would like to do this. Lori likes the evening run idea. We are only able to do Saturday runs.

If I can't build it, then it's something that should be bought.
