As requested in the 5/11 club meeting, this is a duplicate post of Sierra Trek 2023 & Sat. Outer Limits Run (Sat. Aug. 12, 2023) Volunteering from the club only page for those interested in Sierra Trek but not able to access the club only page.
The club is volunteering at Sierra Trek 2023 to host/lead the Saturday Outer Limits Run again this year. Details about Sierra Trek can be found here and all the different run descriptions, including the Outer Limits Run, can be found here.
The commitment: help host/lead the Saturday Outer Limits Run on Sat. Aug. 12, 2023. This entails helping check in participants morning of and helping guide participants through the trail, spotting if/as needed. The run is around the Bear Valley Loop OHV trail off of Cottonwood Rd between HWY 89 and Bear Valley Campground (approx.@ 39.542951, -120.242574).
What you get: Volunteers get a reduced registration fee and get to participate in one run in addition to the one we host/lead. Breakfasts and dinners are included in the registration, and they feed you very well. This is a great off-roading event and social gathering for four wheelers. There is live band and a bar or BYOB for evening entertainment, dancing, a major raffle, vendor booths, pay showers and much more. This is a family friendly event so don't be afraid to bring the family. There is a fee for extra people to cover the food costs.
