Rich, I checked on Google maps and the Shell station in Angels Camp is across the street diagonally from the McDonalds on Hwy 49 (also Main Street). I would like to suggest that we meet at the McDonalds in case anybody wants to grab something to eat. Hopefully they get a handle on the Marshes fire south of there so that we don't have bad air quality camping and on the run.

I want to make sure that those of us going up on Friday are all on the same page. As far as I can tell we have the following group going up on Friday:

Am I missing anyone (vehicle count) from the Friday camping group? Please correct me if I'm wrong on any of the following:
We are meeting in Angles Camp at 2 p.m. by the McDonalds on hwy 49. I assume we are camping at Lake Alpine campground http://www.fs.usda.gov/recarea.....ecid=21866
Can all the members of the Friday group please confirm the above information so we don't have any confusion?
One question: Where and when are we meeting up with the group that is headed up on Saturday?

We're meeting at 8am McDonald's parking lot and then headed to the trail head to meet the over nighters there at 930. I've never been there either but Dale has and he's meeting up at 8 at the McDonalds too so we should be good to go

We're meeting at 8am McDonald's parking lot and then headed to the trail head to meet the over nighters there at 930. I've never been there either but Dale has and he's meeting up at 8 at the McDonalds too so we should be good to go
OK Mike, we're caravanning up with Gil & Betty, who also has been there before as well. No more changes...McDonalds it is...see you there.

Well, we are home safe & sound, along with others or soon to be. It was a great day in great weather in a great area with great people.
Congradulations to Mike G for membership status with a great bbq lunch.
Guy & Lynda had a breakline failure & Brent broke an axle, all fixable & didn't hamper the day.
Thanks Brent for putting it on & Jeff R for help in organizing.

We've home for a bit, all made it off the trail and headed home in good sprits. Thanks Brent for such a fun day and congratulation Mike it was a good BBQ pictures to follow.
