This is going to be a Special Strawberry Trail Maintenance run to clean up and get to the maintenance needs of the trail that we were not able to get to on the Spring Strawberry Trail Maintenance run. There is some overgrowth that needs to be pruned back and some trees that need to be cut and moved that are on the upper trail. Bring lunch and plenty of fluids to drink. Any one wanting to help out and needs a ride post on this forum thread and we'll find you a seat or roof rack to sit in.
Brad will meet just off of HWY50 at the mile 42 bridge at 9:00am then start heading up to get started, as you arrive go up the trail to catch up with the group. If your not sure where it is post on this forum thread and we'll make sure someone can meet you to guide you in.
Bring Gloves, Hand saws, Pruners, Our Club "chain saw guys" will bring chain saws.
If I can't build it, then it's something that should be bought.

Copy that. See you there!
Hi Gil,
How about a homework assignment? Can you find a big piece of cardboard and write "Slow! Trail work in progress!" that passers by can read?
If not I understand. But if you have time and some extra cardboard, that would be great.

How did it go? Everyone alive?
It was awesome.
We had great day. We removed quite a bit of debri from the trail. Trimmed bushes overhanging the trail in several spots as well. Lots of great work by all.
Everyone got off the trail safely.
Thanks Brad and David for organizing the run.

Thanks to Brian for pictures, Posted them in Gallery.
We went all the way over the top to where the barn is. Brad, Allen & Gil went out HWY 88 side. Josh, David, Brian, Jeff back over and went out HWY 50 side. We cut in two major spots. Also there was a spot that people were not following the trail so we blocked the cut through. The second spot was the the big tree that had fallen that the branches were out into the trail.
