Question for us first timers: what is the trail like? Meaning how difficult is the terrain, etc?
I'm planning on wearing blue jeans and a jacket, some type of boots. Bringing gloves and a lopper which is basically all I think I have that would help. Bringing lunch and water.
Does that cover the bases?
Also, since my diesel Suburban does not have tow points, I assume that I should not bring it. Correct? Thanks!

The big thing about this run is Maintanence. We are on the trail to do work. We don't want to spend the day winching and working on vehicles. There will be snow. We most likely won't make it all the way through. In he past we have spent more time wheeling then maintaining. And we need to keep focused on the purpose of these runs.
Um...what?

You can bring it and park it at the trailhead.

We are home now. Great day. Lots of laughter.. Great people. Thank u Trail-master for organizing the work party. And the run up Pack Saddle Pass was a blast. 4 rigs wound up going to Plummers Ridge and it was amazing! So beautiful. Found a new camp ground that's super clean and 4 million and 1 roads to explore. Come on summer time!

Thank you everybody for making our first 4 wheel drive outing a blast! Both Paula and I had a really good time! My Jeep is no longer a Mall Crawler... I put a small scuffs in the Diff cover, the skids got used and a few rim dings... However, the experience and fun was priceless! We look forward to more adventures with you folks!

Hey, that was fun! If you ever need to find me, just follow the trail of tranny fluid to my door. . .
Beautiful scenery, nice folks, fun day. Ditto on the "mall crawler," I know I bashed my diffs a few times too many . . . live and learn.
Special thanks to my trail-mates Jeff/Sharkbyte and "Mrs. Sharkbyte," "Mike 1 AKA Newcastle Mike," Travis, and "Mike 2 AKA New York Mike."
As always, thanks to Brad, Greg, Jeff, Kris and the other club leadership for putting up with us rookies. I look forward to many more runs. . . my kids were furious to learn that I was gone all day with the 4x4 club and they didn't get to go.
