OfflineSunday September 6, 2026 will be our trail maintenance run on Strawberry Pass Trail. This is the trail the club sponsors. To maintain member status you must make at least 1 trail maintenance run a year and there will be 2 runs including the other run being led by me in October. Our key goals for this run are bucking trees down in the area, erosion control, and getting documentation of fire remediation actions needed.. We will use the club's HAM PosseV2 frequency for communications, so bring your HAM radios.
Also, as a reminder, maintenance runs are a great opportunity for anyone needing to host a bbq/pot-luck for membership to do so. If you plan to do so, please post so folks know and can contribute.
Meet at the Subway/Shell station in Pollock Pines off of Hwy 50 and Sly Park exit at 8:30am. We will meet and after a quick drivers meeting will head up to the trailhead about 9:00am.

Just to confirm, our first Strawberry maintenance run will be on September 6th? That seems late in the season for the first maintenance run.
Hi Jeff,
The Trailmaster works with the USFS and schedules the official spring and fall maintenance runs. These are additional maintenance runs (or could be official if the Trailmaster can coordinate these specific dates). that being said, expect an official Spring maintenance run date to show up on the calendar via the 2026 Trailmaster.

OfflineI believe I chose September because that’s the same months runs happened last unless I made mistake which does happen more than I would like to admit.
It’s possible to change the dates if needed. Nothing was set in stone. I chose these because I could attend because I’m selfish. I could not attend the “official maintenance runs” last season because the dates didn’t post till later in the year and they landed on dates I already had scheduled other things for.
If this run should be coordinated by the trailmaster I can delete this post and remove it from the schedule. If the dates must change due to coordination with USFS Can we try to get them on the schedule early in the year?

OfflineRoy, I appreciate everything you are doing to get runs on the calendar for planning purposes. This will definitely increase turnout on these runs. We can always add additional runs and maintenance runs later. I was just questioning if this was "our first" maintenance run of the year. Maybe we should removed that language and just post it as a maintenance run. I think it would be good to go up there earlier before other, non-club members, do a lot of the maintenance work such as cutting trees for us.

Deleted "First" maintenance run of the year to clear up any confusion.
