The plan is to paint the new lower kiosk wood with paint & refresh the upper Kiosk with a coat as well. Also, while we're there, to repair one or both of the legs with new posts & concrete. I'll bring the tools, paint, brushes, posts, bag concrete. I doubt there will be any trimming needed but bring loppers just in case. Maybe a chainsaw with your current certification & CPR/AED card.
Meet on Saturday, October 22nd, 8:00A, Fresh Pond Chevron station, leave to the trail at 8:30A. Expect cool morning. Post if you can make it.
Kris, do we need to notify anyone from the forest service this is happening?

Offline Please note that the National Weather Service forecast for this Saturday at Strawberry is calling for a 50% chance of rain, including Saturday night for mixed rain & snow. I'll keep checking, but if the forecast stays the same or gets worse, I will cancel the event this Friday morning. I will not paint in wet conditions & the mud!

The weather has changed from 50% to 60% rain, mixed & snow for Saturday & Saturday evening, so the painting party is hereby cancelled (sorry Kevin). I'll post it up again between other events & hopefully the bad weather.
