We just got Tom all fixed up. He had a cracked pitman arm. 😯 😯 Put a new one on and Tom drove it and says his steering is still not returning to center and his turn signal doesn't self cancel. A quick drag link adjustment and he is all back to normal. 8) 8)

Uhhh...yep...I'm good to go. I will be there on Sunday Morning. I wil be leaving with Subgroup 4A at an unknown time, possibly before noon. Subgroup 4A may be a few LJ's (Bill, Justin, and I). See you all at Buck Island, or when we catch up to you. Channel 10, I sound like Donald Duck.

I am subgroup 4b, departing early Monday AM, and meeting everyone at the springs - or sooner!

I still need to do three things and wait for my sliders to get here. It looks like Dusy will be run #1, or possibly Triple Trail.

Items left:
re-gear
t-case protection
Evap canister relocation

Was that drop pitman arm from Rubicon Express? I had the same problem after running Barrett last year. I spun about half the splines off the inside of the pitman. I took it back to RE and they gave me a new one. Talk about a scarry drive home!

About the only good thing Rubicon express makes on any of their lifts is the center belly pan. Everything else either breaks or bends..Sure wish I had gone with a Clayton long arm lift or just went with an all custom lift.

Chuck had the same problem with his RE drop pitman arm. About half the teeth were just gone. After inspecting the pitman arm I figured the gearbox shaft had to be toast too but the splines on it were perfect. RE must be using a soft metal for their pitman arms.

Yes, it was an RE arm, and yes half of the splines are toast. I know have a Procomp from Justin's Extreme Garage.
