Hey everyone I wanted to send a shout out and let those that remember me know I will be back in the Tahoe area with my Jeep (bringing it from Texas) over the 4th and leaving it in Cali till October. I have been traveling to SF a ton and will continue to do so till Oct so I thought bring the Jeep and hit a trail or two each month till I take it back home. I heard there is a bunch of snow but hopefully the Rubicon will be passable by the 4th.
My summer/fall goal is
Rubicon
Fordyce
Barrett
Sierra Butte/Snake Lake
Maybe Hell Hole
Be nice to see the trails again. If there are any big trips let me know.

This was a heavy winter and it is impacting the trails available so far. The rubicon was successfully crossed all the way through just this past weekend by a group but there is still plenty of snow up past cadillac. Sierra Butte/Snake Lake will probably still have snow drifts into mid august. Fordyce will be flowing at pretty high rates with the only guaranteed low flow week being that of sierra trek.(high snow pack plus work planned on dam means they are going to be keeping flows high) Barrett and Deer Valley are going to have very short wheeling seasons this year but will post up as more info is available.

Ran the Rubicon today. Started on the Tahoe side at 11:10, rolled out of Loon lake aired up by 4:30p. Trail was in good shape I didnt really see any snow there were a few more water puddles/ponds than I remember along the way. Traffic was not too bad but getting thicker as we were leaving. We had to stop 4 times for parties to pass. Rubicon Springs and Buck Island were filling up. Probably passed anoth 15 rigs coming in as we were heading to hwy 50.

I went in to Buck and back out. Got on the trail at 11am at loon, made it to Buck at 6pm (traffic, spent an hour getting a JK out of little sluice, spent 1.5 hours at soupbowl for lunch). Then went from Buck to the Chalet in 3.5 hours with 3 15min stops for me to bow to mecca and stretch my back lol
I had to have passed you... didn't see you at all though 🙁
