Check out the calendar. There’s a road patrol coming up on 1/25 and keep checking the trail runs & gatherings forum, who knows what might come up before then.

Welcome to the board!

Everything I say is fully substantiated by my own opinion.

Glad to see you on the board – welcome!

I look forward to seeing pics of the YJ.

Also, we may be putting together a new years day snow run. Be sure to check back! Maybe you can make some of the upcoming runs like Fred mentioned.

what do you do on road patrol, hang out to the entrance of the trail and educate people that come by? Pick up trash?,put road blocks back?

from looking at the pictures,

hang out, hang out some more, educate, hang out some more, maybe go snow wheeling or just hang out or maybe nap.

eat.

The road patrol is on Iron Mountain Road. We do a vehicle count for the Forest Service. We go up the road a ways, set up a little spot, hang out, eat lunch, talk, throw snow balls, and keep count of the vehicles that drive by. Mostly we just laugh at the people getting stuck. Some people take off and do a little driving in the snow. The rest of us huddle around a propane heater.

I used to wheel a lot. . .

Your description of work is impressive. Since I’m not a registered user of the site, I cannot view the pics however. I saw you avatar and notice the YJ is red however!
