Coilover Install

Just bought a new set of 2.5x14" Coilovers and bump cans for the rig and am going to be doing the install myself over the next month. For those of you whom have coilovers in the front of your rigs, I was hoping you could tell me what spring rates your running so I don’t have mess with different spring rates too much. I was planning on starting with a 200/250 but my concern is that it might be a little too much spring on the 250. Any advice would be helpful. Let the cutting and welding begin :hack: beer

Great purchase!

I ran coil overs on my TJ (Fox). I think my spring rates were 180/200? Does that sound reasonable?

This is a project I'll queue for my JK next year, depending on two other potential projects.

I just looked at mine and they are 250/250.

Actually 2.5.14.250 E11/2.5.14.250 E11

Not sure what the E11 stands for. Here's a pic from last weekend flexin out.

The guy at king swore I needed 250/300... It sounded a little heavy but he said i could exchange them if they were too much...

Mine at 250/250 are going to need to be adjusted, probably going to 300/300 or 250/350. The extra weight of the hemi required us to adjust the shocks and that has firmed up the ride. I'd like it a little softer for highway use. I think I said that right..

Coilovers are in and flexed.... Still have some brakeline work to finish and need to buy the limiting straps.... The rear frame is notched and bump cans almost ready to be installed... should have the thing up and running this week. I have attached a couple pictures for your viewing pleasure
