Good Rolling Floor Jack for my shop

This past weekend I picked up a 3 ton floor jack from Harbor Freight for $68 on a holiday deal. Do I need more than a 3 ton jack? The max jack height is 20". Is that enough lift? They had a fancy Daytona Jack for $179 that had a max height of 23" and a 3 ton limit. The Daytona Jack seemed like a lot of money right up to the point you are trying to work on you suspension and you need 3 more inches...

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

When needing more height I just use 4x4 blocks with the jack

Sears has some good floor jacks. I have two 5ton jacks I bought there. One I bought over a decade ago. They work great. Never had a problem.

Just make sure you have jack stands in place when you are under your vehicle!

Absolutely! I will pick up some 6 ton jack stands before I ever go under my Jeep. Thanks !

I have 12 ton stands to reach the frame, 6 ton stands for under the axles, and 3 ton stands because it was the first set I bought.
