OfflineFirst off, owning 2 Jeeps is like having 2 simultaneous girlfriends you have to keep happy.
Re gearing my JK is taking way longer than expected because Spicer Rear 5.13 gears are not available until at least November. I also have the TJ in which the carrier broke at Sierra Trek a couple of years ago. Been pretty much sitting since then so hence she is unhappy.
For the TJ, I would have to put in a rear locker and re gear to 4.88 for the Front axle and Rear axle. Front axle is a Dana 30. I don't really want to invest in the Dana 30 and may have to go to a Dana 44 anyway.
My thought is to move the JK Dana 44 axles to the TJ and use the Artec JK2TJ truss. The JK is a 2017 Recon which I think had stronger axle housings. Plus the axles have less than 12K miles. I would then still re gear those axles to 5.13
Now for the JK which will need new axles. Here I'm either looking at Currie HD60 front and back or something similar. If possible I would like both Jeeps will have the same bolt pattern for wheels.
My question is whether anyone has any ideas that I haven't considered or possible recommendations. Thinking of doing the JK first. If 5.13 gears become available then I will have them installed as I would use them on the TJ.
I'm thinking of running 37s on both Jeeps. Maybe a touch taller on the JK.
Thanks.

OfflineThe Currie HD60 are $12,800 plus tax and free shipping for front and rear. The Currie extreme 60 1 tons are about $18k which like you said is probably overkill. The UD60s are a great price as they are about $18k. I think the UD60 come in at a width of 69" while I can get the HD60s at 65" or 68" width. Something to think about. Now if I had a 4 door I would get the UD60s in a heartbeat.
