Hi All,
Hope someone can help me here.
The Rig: 2008 Rubicon JK 3.8L V6, 3.5 inch Game Chager lift, 35 inch tires, Dana 44 stock front axil with chromoly inner axil shafts.
The problem: I need to replace my front wheel bearings and I ran into an issue.
My Timken HA590242 Wheel Bearing & Hub has an ABS line that is 38 inches long. It's much shorter than the one on my rig now. I was almost done with the install, and just about to zip tie the new ABS line to my extended Metalcloak break lines, when I noticed that they were much shorter. I compaired the old one with the new one and it's about 10 inches shorter. Then I decided that I'd use the new Wheel Bearing & Hub with my old ABS line. but wouldn't you know it, my old sensor doesn't fit into the new Hub?
Upon further inspection, the new Timken ABS sensor has a red gasket/ring on it (the part that goes down in the hub and held on by the allen bolt) and my old one has a green gasket/ring. I don't have a micromitor, and they look about the same size. I thought the ABS sensor would be a standard size. Been on an off the phone with Timken and they don't offer a longer ABS line. They couldn't answer my questions about the sensor size and what the red color designated.
I called the Dealer and asked if they had hubs with a 48 inch ABS lines for me and they said yes. When I went to pick them up I took a tape measure and guess what? They were 38 inches long. They've placed an order for the 48 inch ABS lines, but have no idea when they will come in. I took these new hubs home and tried them with the old existing ABS line and again the old ABS line didn't fit. This new hub from the dealer also has a red gasket/ring on it.
I have now pulled off and re installed the wheel bearing four times over the past two weeks. I'm getting fairly good at it :>)
Any recommendations on what to do?
Is the only option to splice an extention?
Has anyone had this issue?
What do you guys do/use when you need to replace the front hubs?
Hope to see everyone at the meeting this week. Thank you in advance.

After reading this I checked the spare assembly I carry in my parts bag and the ABS lead measured at 47 inches. Here is a link to the part, have not had to use one yet though:

Thanks BKGM & Jamie. Greatly appreciated.
Update: To my surprise, the Roseville dealer called and the 48 inch ABS lines came in today. I took the short lines off and put the new longer ABS lines on. The new lines didn't want to fit at first, but I decided I would do whatever I had to do to push those things in. After using the grease that came with the new ABS lines, pushed them in as far as I could by hand (not very far), then I carefully used a big C clamp, trying not to damage the wire, and then some pliers. For now I am Happy Happy Happy, but won't know for sure until I fully instal them this weekend and pray my ABS light doesn't turn on. Fingers crossed.

I run a lot of flex, and once you have them off your inner rotors, they seem to be reliable. I have no dash lights as well!
