I picked up a tank with some gas today, some .035 and some material, going to play around this weekend and try to build a little cart to hold my welder. I'll let you know how it goes.

well i didn't have a lot of time this weekend but I get get to connect the gas and take a crack at it. I only built part of the frame for my welder cart so not much to report. I don't think my welds look very good, but after some practice I believe I am getting good penetration. I don't think they look very good but after I take the grinder to them they look clean.

I am still interested in having a welding clinic to see if there are any tips or suggestions some of the pros on here could help us noobs out with.

So when is this Welder class going to happen? We should put a date on the calendar and everyone bring thier welders and some scrap metal. If we do it at my house lunch is on me. It doesn't have to be on the weekend either it could be a Thursday night or something. If we do a night thing, then I'll order Pizza and people can bring drinks.

My hobart 210 is close to your miller, and too heavy to lug around. I'd just use yours if that's ok (and the class is at your house).

That will work.. You would still want to bring your own helmet and stuff though. I have gas and 030 and 035. We just need to pick a date.

This sounds like it will work. I'd love to be part of this.

Lets do it. Here are today's welds. I could always use more practice.

Anyone around on the 27th? I'm off the next two weeks and a day or two after Christmas would work for me.
