The next project is a 3" BL I picked up off CraigsList. Never used. Looks to be just a little time consuming effort.

Any tips would be appreciated.

Thanks

I'm surprised you were allowed to desecrate a national emblem in that manner. mr-green

Update on the outside here. The not so super exciting body lift is effectively complete.

I gained a whopping 2+ inches more clearance on that relocation...

It looks like you moved your receiver up to match your new body height, correct? It looks like you did gain about 3"!

Actually no, but that was a serious consideration to do.

The trailer harness plug was actually mounted to the underside of the hitch cross member. The first picture shows the plate box removed and just sitting on top of that cross member. So I'm just goofing about gaining some clearance by removing that box altogether and can now impact things in a more plumb nature. 😀

Ok, I now did gain about 4" of clearance on the back end as I tossed this together over the past couple weeks.

Only hangup now is the exhaust tip....

I've always had a custom plate. Just takes much longer in CA to get one. Sheesh

just cut the exhaust back and make it a turndown. It's free and solves your problem.

Keeping the sheet metal behind the tires that hold the mud flaps to keep the 5-0 happy. At lift time...the cut will happen or if a rock jumps out...

Doesn't make you any friends on the trail though.

HAHAHAHAH

My turn down comes after the muffler, behind the axle, so the trim will be just inside of the leaf spring. Won't be much as the tip itself will just be slid off.

I run a "turn down and out" on my JK to aleviate the whining of those behind me. It looks like yours but cut off at the turn with a taper so it looks like it turns down. See, I listen to all those who follow behind me! mr-green

If you're not the lead dog, the view never changes either.
