Hey,

I just got my powder coating setup ready and don't have anything to coat. Anybody got something? You would be the first. I only have gloss black powder and the oven is a single door Whirlpool.

Interesting!

I plan on doing my roof rack and I was going to try the Rustoleum textured spray paint.

Do you plan on getting textured black powder? I would be a guinea pig for that. I don't know if a roof rack would be to big though. 😀

Roof rack probably wont fit in the oven unless all the pieces are <2ft.
Only thing we have to figure out the best oven temperature and time.

Thanks for your offer! I've been trying to think of something to get finished but haven't come up with anything yet.

Come on...that would cover up the gold!

That could actually look pretty cool, but I'm guessing Strawberry would eat spokes.

I still haven't used the oven yet and would feel more comfortable doing something smaller before doing rims. But the plan is to do rims, valve covers, oil pans, etc. after working out the bugs.

What colors can you currently powdercoat? I could have powdercoated my Sway LOC yellow!

I have some gloss black on hand. Harbor Freight sells the simple colors, yellow, red, white, etc. and you can order almost anything.

I've cleaned up the garage and ready for any small powder coating projects. Right now I've only have gloss black. You can stop by my house in Folsom or bring stuff to the next meeting. I'm going to add some hooks to the inside top of the oven to hang things with a maximum length of 12". Side to side will fit up to 18" on an oven rack, so a 17" rim up to 10" wide would probably fit OK.
