OfflineI need to extend my stock anti-sway bar brackets and replace my stock lower track bar mount on my Dana 30. I have the new beefy parts. I need to cut out the old and weld in the new. So, I guess what I'm asking is...Is there a welder in the house? Could be done at your place or mine. I can pay or buy lunch or lots of beer.

OfflineHi justin.
I have a welder but don't weld steering/front suspension on my own rig...
Some people in the club also have welders. My opinion. That you should ask a shop like 4wheelparts to do it. I paid like 40 bucks for them to do my c gussets. Which worked and saved my ball joints.

Ruff Stuff referred me to a shop in Lincoln. Got the welding done this morning. He does great work and the price was very reasonable. I would definitely recommend him. I don't know if I'm allowed to plug a particular shop/vendor. If I can, I will.
It's always valuable to share good experiences! Go ahead!
I'll plug my wheel vendor once I'm done with my current work.

OfflineI went to Ryan Garrett at Garrett Welding & Fabrication in Lincoln. I guess he has only been at that location for a couple of months and is still moving in. I knew I was in the right place when I saw his own work-in-progress. It's a CJ/YJ/TJ juggy with a hemi (or something) on 43s and custom axles. It is a beast. Anyway, he removed the flimsy old stock lower trackbar bracket and welded in the new one. The tabs on the bracket I purchased were a little short where they attach to the axle, so he fabbed up a piece to correct it. He also welded in another piece behind the bracket for support. He then removed the stock anti-sway bar link brackets and welded in the new. It took about 3 hours. He charged me $120, which I thought was very reasonable, given the time he took and the quality of the work he did, which he guarantees. The best part was he let me hang out and watch him work.
