Well, in the continuing and now finalized saga that is the XJ's rear bumper, we now have a pictorial documentation of the process.

I should have known better. :censor:

Had the dimensions of the hold downs and attachment point for the bumper and nut strips. Did not take into account the hatch above and height of the rear bulkhead "box". :banghead:

But what I will be able to do is (1) attach my spare tire carrier and (2) recovery point to my new bumper. The existing receiver hitch I can remove and sell. You can tell by the pics I will pick up a lot of break over angle. First thing to touch down now will be the spring shackles and I'm not sure I can do much about those.
