Ok guys this thing needs to go my big plans aren't going to happen Shaina's medical bills are coming in and work just ain't cutting it anymore to pay them so time to sell the BEAST. Title in hand with my name on it.
What we have here is a 2004 HME fire truck (smog exempt) 8.3L Cummins turbo diesel (350hp), Allison automatic transmission with only 28k miles on it and 5k hours still practically new. A used long block is going for 7-8k online. This thing is big enough to pit 2 full-size truck bench seats in the back to hold at least 8 people in it and it has A/C in the front and rear.
My plan was to take off the bed and put a wedge bed on with storage underneath for spare parts, compressor, welder and tools so if i broke something I could fix it on the spot.
I have it posted on the web for 15k all over the place but I'm willing to make a posse family member a better deal then that. Will also do partial trades

If anyone knows other guys and gals that do off-roading and would be interested in an awesome truck like this please spread the word. As I said bills for Shaina's medical needs are coming and it needs to go.
I will give anyone who helps with the sale a finders fee of say 5-10% if they send a buyer my way that would be free money for just telling people about the truck for sale

For some reason "Hi honey, I'm home. Guess what I bought today." keeps running through my mind. What is the history of this fire engine Mike? Do you know what agency or agencies owned it? Assuming the pump is operational and in good working condition along with the rest of the vehicle, it may have more value as a fire apparatus than converting for some other use. There are a lot of small fire agencies that might be interested in it, especially if you provide financing. Some Indian reservations have their own fire service or there maybe some private company that wants it for fire protection purposes. It costs a lot of money to equip a fire apparatus with hose, nozzles, fittings (know as brass in the fire service), lights, radios, etc. So if an agency has an engine that needs replacing then that might be your best bet since they can transfer their existing equipment to this engine. I hope you're able to sell it soon Mike.

It was in Iraq at Camp Slayer US military base and used there only. It's only got 28k miles and 5k hours. Fully operational 1k gpm pump. I met a guy who drove it in Iraq it's a great truck wish I could keep it...
