I don't have the Nth TT, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn.
I've got the Goferit skid on my Jeep. I do have some experience with the Nth TT & oil pan skid since we installed one on Scott's dad's Jeep. I'd say it's a pretty nice skid plate and good quality. But, Nth stuff typically has more parts and hardware so it usually takes a little longer to install than other comparable products. I'd rate it among the best that I've worked with (others I have personal experience with are the 33 Engineering skids and my Goferit).

Not planning on doing a long arm....just wanna reliable trail runner to get me hunting/fishing/camping. I keep on dragging the skid even on mild logging roads. I like the idea of not having to do a body lift to fit the skid.
My goals for the jeep:
2" OME lift
beefier control arms(Rokman/JKS)
33" bfg a/t
31.5 gallon gen right safari gas tank
armor
on board air or power tank
winch
better roll cage
some kind of roof rack system
GPS
But like I said before about the long arm and 37s.....never say never....

I didn't know Genright made a 31.5 gal tank. I have the enduro tank which holds 25 gals.
Why would you get a winch, and plan to run a BFG AT? If you wheel hard or risky enough to need a winch for recovery, you'd probably be better off starting with a more aggressive tire to avoid the recovery in the first place. If you fish alone and are concerned about having to recover yourself, then spend a couple bucks more and get an M/T tire. There are plenty of brands that will last as long as the AT you are looking at. The BFG MT, MT/R's or Toyo's for example last plenty long and will greatly help you avoid recovery on your trips. Good luck!

fyi, Scott's dad's jeep is a swb TJ Rubicon with automatic transmission. Installing the Nth TT did not require a body lift. We did have to do some clearancing of the transmission tunnel, but the TT came with the "tool" to do it. It does require relocation off the Rubicon air pumps. Be VERY careful not to break of the plastic nipples on the pumps. If you break one like we did, despite our caution, you have to replace the entire dual pump assembly.
This is probably an issue with any TT on a TJ/LJ Rubicon though.

Jimbo also has a belly up skid on his Unlimited. I can't remember which brand but you can contact him here on the forum. His screen name is mtngoht.
Is he the one that went with us that trip (Black TJ on 33's)???? He got a lot of Fordyce dents if I remember correctly!!!!

Gonna be my primary vehicle, DD. Long road trips to hunting sites. 10-19 hours is no fun with the M/T hummmmmm. Also I know of a couple of vehicles with aggressive tires that required a strap. Thanks for the advice though, keep those ideas comming.

Yeah that was my rookie Fordyce run.. 😯 Fun!
Took a toll on my rig.
I must have came down hard on a rock right where the OX cable enters. (the downside of OX. I know 🙄 ARB)
I had to readjust the cable. I works now, but I'm leaking a little oil out the cable where its split. I'll be getting a new cable eventually.
Looking forward to getting out with you guys again! 😀
