Anyone know if there is a "parts store" replacement relay for the extreme air 4.0 compressor?

Is it some sort of special relay? Can you just make a regular old relay work?

I think Autozone can get one. Rob just switched to a York so he may still have his. I've never had a relay go out.

I sold my Extreme air to Lee when I sold him my old axle.

Now that I've burned up a garden tractor starter relay, I've looked on their website and I should be using something rated for 60 + amps and for continuous duty. I just did not like the one they sell because of the placement of the studs vs where I want to mount it. Any ideas ? I know I could use the one the have for it but that wouldn't be much fun.

Wow, I looked up the compressor and it draws 40A, so you should use an 80A.

There is also a diode that should be used to extend the relay life.
