With air compressors having moisture in the systems at times. Does anyone think a water separator would be a good thing to keep water out of the ARB?
I don't see a reason to do it. How often do you actually operate your ARB? It doesn't seem like the work would justify the incredibly small amount of moisture you'd face. Plus, it would drip into your gear oil, which should be being regularly changed anyway.
just my thinking.

Typical water separator does next to nothing until the compressed air is cooled. You would need to put the air through a heat exchanger to drop it enough for the water to transition from vapor to aerosolized droplets that can be separated by the typical in-line separator. You could use a desiccant based air dryer but I imagine those are all pretty pricey. I really don't want to bust out my thermodynamics book but without pre-cooling Im pretty sure those moisture separators are pointless.

Ok, no separator. Do you guys that have a front locker have a straight air line or a coiled one? All I have to do now is hook up the line from the valve to the diff, with a lot of travel/flex about 15" I'm looking at it and trying to figure out that if with the non-coiled line I would have a problem with putting in enough line to be OK for full down flex then when it compresses I would have all this line flopping all over the place. What your thoughts on that?
If I can't build it, then it's something that should be bought.

Thanks Brad, Got the line hooked up and did the "click" test. So the basic on board air system and front air locker is now all installed, including front & rear air line access to fill tires. Now just waiting for front wheel bearings & seal to arrive, we found they were on the way out when we put the locker in.
Suzuki should be back on the road by the weekend.
