I installed an ARB diff cover to gain the drain plug so I don't have to pull my covers to change my diff fluid. The ARB touts its "additional clearance". It was less than 1/8" thinner than my Rockcrusher cover. Since my rear cover already cleared my Enduro tank, that wasn't the reason I bought them. Also, the cover hangs 3/16" lower than my diffs and had to be ground down to eliminate the lip!

I just bought a d30 cover and some other suspension stuff from
RuffStuff.
I was impressed with their workmanship and over-build-it attitude. They are real good with service and are local off Sunrise kinda behind In-n-Out.

I guess this doesnt help your clearance issues, Brad. Why dont you just lift it higher?lol

That would be becuase the clearance is related to steering components and gas tank, rather than the ground. With the ground, I'll just grind the covers to match my differentials.

I didn't know you needed special diff covers for garage protection. lol

Oh, now thats just mean! 😛
New covers a good for holding nuts and bolts - namely the random collection of rusty metric, sae and torx bolts that DC had shipped from China to attach the suspension to the sheetmetal unibody of my XJ.

Say, how about posting some pics of your XJ work? I'd like to see how it's coming along.

My boss (Larry B.) is coming over to help me weld control arm brackets, spring perches and some other stuff this week.
I have a build thread at NAXJA.

Thanks for the link! It looks like quick work once the welding is complete.
