In the meeting tonight I was telling Joe about an extra support bracket for mounting Atlas t-cases. I found a write-up over on Pirate4x4. Go to this link then search for "Roark".

Not sure why you would need an extra support bracket ❓

I've read that because of the extra weight of the Atlas and the fact that the Atlas is not directly supported, some people have had problems with cracking cases. In the meeting Joe was talking about having problems with his transmission mount breaking under certain conditions. This extra mount could help reinforce the factory mount.

It does make sence, but I wonder how much vibration the extra mount would transmit to the body?

That's a good question. I haven't read anything that mentions vibration but this mount could increase the vibrations.

I know when I had a polyurethane transmission mount, combined with my auto trans, the vibrations when stopped and in gear were more than I found acceptable. I went back to a factory mount.
