Ok, putting in new rear axle shafts in dana44. Question on the outer bearing. I've read both that I need to grease the bearing and that I don't (that its lubricated by the diff oil). Cant find anything definitive. I was going to error on Packing the bearing but if its not required I'd rather not (I already pressed them on). The bearing came with the shafts lubed but not greased. It's on a 2005. Anybody know the correct answer?

I greased the bearing on my 44 when I had one. However mine was in a TJ and the furtherest back those axles went was 97. Mine was a 2000 TJ rear.
