I picked up a new Bestop Sailcloth top for my TJ this afternoon and put it on. I'm not a satisfied Bestop customer at this point. The top has three areas it doesn't fit correctly. The material across the front of the windshield header sticks out and the seam is exposed. Besides how it looks, I can't help but believe this will be an area that leaks when driving in the rain. The rear passenger side sail panel fits loose closest to the tailgate. It will easily pull out when driving without the rear window. The worst thing though is the driver's side rear window. The top is apparently cut wrong and the window is about 3/4" too long. I'm pretty sure it's a problem with the top because I put my OEM window in and it fits the same.
Tomorrow morning I'm taking it back, on my Jeep, to our local retailer to see about getting it replaced.
I will say though, the sailcloth top is much quieter than my old non-sailcloth top. If I can get one that fits it should be very nice.

I bought a regular (non sailcloth) top years ago for my TJ. It was a "Pavement Ends" by Bestop. It fit like a glove. Only problem was the Pass. Upper Door Skin was missing a velcro strip. I called Quadratec and they sent out two new door uppers, no questions and told me to keep the others... 😀
Sorry you had troubles... I did put a Sailcloth Top on my 90 Miata earlier this year. What a differance it made. Nice quiet ride!!! I loved it for the two weeks it was on. Wrapped the car around a tree in the rain in March 😥
