With the help of my buddy Dave, the "dual port" rear bumper is now tied into the frame for tugging or being tugged. I'll be trying out the spare tire carrier and D-ring recovery to see how all fits and finishes. I know a little more work on the carrier will be necessary as it was not designed to be mounted so high.
Tireplast is in and made a HUGE difference in noise inside the cabin. The balance of the interior and some "removeable" carpeting should make it even better. That part will get done for the Chili Cook-off on 2/9 as we'll be taking a human passenger with us.
See my post for the 1/31 run to PC if you want to come out and help me on my current "shake-down".

Hmmm ... at first blush that appears to be a compliment.

Don't let it go to your head - don't forget that he likes Nissans too. 😀
Yeah, there is that.

Well, after much delay over the last year+, yesterday I did finish getting the interior reinstalled. With the exception of the "road hum" of the tires the XJ is as quiet as ever.
Now I see why the factory had a 1/2 inch of padding under the carpet. Time to look for some carpet remnants.
But, it will now be a LOT easier to clean and drain ... if necessary.
Next up is fitting/welding on the sliders/reinforcement and installing the tank, transfer case and front end skids.
