I just received a letter stating that Jeep is extending their clock spring warranty to 15 years/unlimited miles. This is for 2011 to Current models. If your Jeep has had clock spring repairs, you can apply for a refund if it falls in the effected model years. Cool.

Fortunately they put digital clocks in the TJ's so we don't have to worry about broken clock springs!

They refunded one of mine I had done. It was pretty quick payment too.
BUT I'm on clockspring number 4.

Offline I received my notice as well. Insurance paid for mine since the airbag deployed. I did find the following statement interesting after what happened to me.
"We are extending the Clockspring warranty period because of some of the affected vehicle population may experience a compromised airbag circuit or illumination of the airbag warning lamp."
What is a "compromised airbag circuit"?

I read that the airbag may not deploy if the clock spring is defective (compromised). Why did your airbag deploy? If it deployed spontaneously that would be a very dangerous and serious defect.

Offline Mine is a 2010 and the dealer wants to replace my clock spring as well. For free of course.
