Well, I fianlly finished hooking up air lines, tank, etc for my rear ARB only to run into a big snag... 😯

I installed a nice compressor under the hood awhile ago, got it all wired up to some ARB switches... Been working great!

This past week, I installed a 2ish Gallon AIR Tank Under the Rear Seat Floor, Nice fit and very well protected!

Ran a Braided Line to the Tank, Installed a manifold to split air to front / back and an air hose hookup. Turned on the pump... OMG!!! ITS LEAKING!!!, Found a cracked brass fitting!!! Cut PVC tubing :hack: to unscrew cracked fitting. Went back to the hardware store for replacement fitting, installed everything again, STILL LEAKING!!! The NEW fitting has a hole in it!!! OMG, cheap Brass rant , OK, so I get a plug. I just want to test the locker, bypass the hookup for the air hose. Turn on the pump, Hummmmmmmmmmmmmmm, It shuts off at 105#, NICE!!! No leaks!!! I hit the switch to the rear ARB... Well, that doesn't sound good!!! I don't think I am supposed to hear air hissing out the rear end... You see, when I went to put the air line from the solinoid to the rear end, I noticed the protective cap I had installed on the rear was missing!!! How long, I don't have a clue 😕 . The ARB was installed 2-3 years ago and I never finished hooking it up after my heart attack... So stuff, junk, and poop have been getting into the rear for the past lets say year... deep puddles, driving in the snow, etc... I do a little reading and it looks like I need to replace seals on the ARB. I found a nice writeup WITH pictures!!! 😀

So, looks like I will be pulling axles, and having a fun day soon!!! beer I have never done this before, but am not affraid take things apart. If anyone wants to join in and learn about ARB's, I am hoping to do this in the next month or so (snow needs to melt). I will be ordering the O-Ring seal kit this week and will post up a date when I figure out what dates might work.

So much for having the Air Locker working for Prairie City tomorrow...

I did get my CB installed again, at least it still works!!!

I've been working on a plumbing project around the house and I'm a bit nervous about some PVC I'm in. Quality control just doesn't seem to exist anymore. Glad you're making your way through it.

I pulled mine out of my truck to reset the pinion a little while ago. If your real careful with that stupid copper line you should be fine.
