I know a couple of you have them, so I got a question about my wifey's truck...
98 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab,
When under a light to heavy load, the AC flapper diverts air to the defroster vents, take foot off gas, hear flapper flap and air returns to blow out the proper vents. I googled this and found it may be a check valve under the hood. I found a tested it (blew through one way, but not the other). I am thinking a bad vac hose along that path. Just wondering if anyone had a similar issue and if you had a bad hose, which one???
Thanks,
Brian

I've not had this situation occur. I've only had the blend door broken fitting issue. It's where running AC its cold, then vacuum or momentum shifts the blend door and you get that lovely hot air.
Here are some links to topics that may be more related to yours, which sounds like the "wild vents" issue.

Pulled the Check Valve right along the Intake Manifold and it IS BAD!!! Went to local Kragen / O'Really and they could not find it... Really??? Funny, I opened that same store 6 years ago, managed it for 2 years, and could find almost anything in the books. Went across the street to Reibies / Napa and talked to a Manager that has been there for the past 10+ years, she knew to just grab the book... don't even try the computer. Found something pretty darn close, 3/16" instead of 1/4". Hooked it up and it is much better, but I still have a slight leak with the 1/16" differance. I am going to wrap some black tape around the barb to build it up and clamp it down with a hose clamp to seal that bugger off. Just waiting for it to cool down a bit...
