I got my new tie rod installed and then took the Jeep to Big-O (Lee) for my free alignment (raffle prize). The Jeep sure does drive nice now.

I still need to replace a broken/worn hub. The hubs seem to be the weak link in my front axle, which is a good thing. Cheap and easy to fix.

Then I need to chase down a squeek. I can't re-create it by shaking the Jeep and that makes it hard to chase down. Frustrating.

And finally, my air conditioning went out on me. I'm hoping somebody smart, like Justin, can help me figure that one out.

I used to wheel a lot. . .

Squeeks on the rig, first thing I always check is the jam nut on the control arms. Those things clunk and squeek more often than anything. I've got some weird squeek in my front driver's side corner somewhere. I think it's the coil moving on the lower mount, but the noise is horrible. U-joints are good, no broken welds that I can see, no metal movement...... should probably try some sort of spring isolator to see if it goes away.

Out in the garage collecting parts....
