No it's not. Charlie and I were fortunate to have stayed on solid ground. The Rangers showed up before we could really attempt any recovery.

Depends where you are! If you cross boundary markers then YES.
I talked to a ranger when I did my recovery to specifically ask if i was doing anything wrong. He told me youre good. No ticket for me. But we had more than 50 spectators. Granite bay is way more vehicle friendly that el dorado county.
