Is anybody else on the FOTR mailing list? Have you been following the events that are about to unfold on the Rubicon? Some idiots are planing a "rave" type party at Little Sluice Saturday night. I mean, this is ridiculous! I know it's kind of public land and all but come on, the trail is under scrutiny right now. The last thing we need is a organized party out there. It makes me think it's some environmental type club who so doing it just to condemn the trail. 👿

I haven't seen anything on the Pirate board about it.

Yeah, Cabin Boy and I have been up there allot this summer and he got a ticket in Gatekeeper for a cracked windshield on his green stickered truck. 😯 They were really nice to us but said that he either had to have a good windshield, or no windshield. We had no complaints, we understand they are doing their job and I thanked them for being out there.

I'm going to break down and mount my front license plate. 🙁 It's going to throw off the aesthetics of the whole truck. lol Sounds like I'd also better get my windshield fixed.

Front license plate? Yellow jeep = 10 years without a front plate. Black jeep 18 months without a front plate. Wife's car 2.5 years without a plate. zero tickets...

Check out a couple of the threads recently on Pirate. There are a couple of key issues that they're tagging folks on. A front license plate is one.

Yup, they made sure I had both plates, insurance, and registration. 😐 Like I said though, they were really nice to us. The funny part was that Cabin Boy left his drivers license in his tow rig and the deputy accepted his hunting license as a form of identification! lol lol
I was thinking ,you might be a redneck if a LEO ask for your ID and you hand him your hunting license. lol

I have one of these (or one similar) for my front plate. It's easy to put on and remove when necessary.

I attached maglite clips to my front license plate similar to that for a while. It worked until I forgot to take it off and tried to go through the water crossings on Fordyce. The water washed away my plate. 😯

Yeah, I was thinking of attaching some sort of safety line that can still be easily disconnected. I'll see what I can come up with. mr-green
