I really need to have two wheeling rigs, one for thrashing and one for family.

My Jeep is great for wheeling. I've built it to the point where it will go pretty much everywhere I've wanted it to go. It has survived the Hammers three years in a row and has successfully taken me through the Little Sluice. The biggest problem is that it is horrible as a family wheeler. If I take the family, there is no room for the gear and it's modified to the point of not being very comfortable. Besides the fact that it's looking pretty abused, not that I care, but the kids probably want to be in a cooler looking rig.

I wish I had a second wheeler, something like a 4Runner or something else capable that has more room. I'd build it to ride on 35" tires, with lockers, safety equipment, and strong. Then I can take the family on mild wheeling trips in comfort and not worry about breaking it or thrashing it.

I really want two rigs...some day.

I used to wheel a lot. . .

Why stop at two? I also want a buggy. And a snow cat would be cool. And I need a car to go fast in. A big truck would be important for towing. Plus, I would need a toy hauler. 😀

Why don't you think that you could get both rigs in one? An LJ could be a pretty sweet setup!

I say two because I'd want one that is small and I don't mind thrashing, like my Jeep. I'd also want one a little roomier that is more road friendly and family friendly that I wouldn't want to thrash and dent. I think a 4Runner or later model Land Cruiser, maybe evn an EB would be cool for the second rig. The JK would fit the bill but it's way too expensive and I'm not that fond of the looks of the 4-door models (no offense Brad).

The LJ would also be a good choice, but like I said, I want one to thrash on and one to keep nice for the family stuff. I already have a truck, I've had fast cars but they are worthless if you don't want speeding tickets. I'm way past the point of trying to impress the "chicks" with my fast car wink
