Inflate tire with WD40?

Has anybody ever mounted a tire using the WD40 trick? I tried it today and it didn't work. No explosion, just a small flame. I'm thinking they used starting fluid in the tire and WD40 to ignite it. Anyway, the strap got the bead to seat and tire got inflated.

Thanks Fred, Looks like they used WD40 alright. I've got a junk tire and rim to experiment with. Maybe bring it on a run sometime.

My York works well for setting beads and it's much, much safer.

I used to wheel a lot. . .

I've set a bead with my extreme Air and a ratchet strap...

I think John's york will work without the strap, and just using the weight of the vehicle.
