American Tires at the corner of Hwy 49 and Locksley lane in Auburn installs them, but it isn't cheap. I don't like them because every time you need to replace a tire, it will take a ton of time and you will still need to take them to someone to do it or you better have your own tire machine. I will stick with the real beadlock. I can change and install my own tire in less the 20 minutes a tire and that includes torqing the bolts down. Yes, beadlocks are street legal they are just not DOT approved!

Sounds like a super hero and his side kick
Rob has a good point about having to get tires changed. Could be a pain.
yep....doing the Stauns is something you would want to learn yourself. I would like to get a set of tire spoons and give it a try. I understand once you get it down its really not that hard and goes quick. I see Goodyear come to our yard when the mechanics are off and replace flat trailer tires. They don't have a tire machine and get by quite nicely.
The other option is to give the HF tire machine a try. I have seen people having luck with those.
I have no problem with running beadlocks on the street. I just liked the idea of keeping my current rims and having them double beadlocked.

I also agree with Rob's comments. If you are focused soley on the DOT requirement, they do make DOT approved beadlocks as well. I think they sell them in either Quadratek or at 4WD hardware. I'm not sure what the risk is. I've been driving mine for 3 years and haven't had any problems. I've torn Krawler sidewalls twice and the beadlocks were a very easy change out. I only had to buy Lee lunch to balance them.
