What did you make the quilt out of?
I used 1.1 or 1.9oz ripstop nylon from Joann's Fabrics for the shell, and then I ordered some Apex Climashield for insulation. http://thru-hiker.com/material.....lation.php
I've had it down to about 25 degrees and that's the coldest I'd like to take it.
Um...what?

I think my next purchase is a jet boil. Can't decide if I want to spring for the titanium though. I want my 3 day pack to be in the 30lb range. Hard part is that I have to carry stuff that I wouldn't normally hike with. Big first aid kit, splints, radio, tape measure, flagging tape, a handful of carabiners, etc. Good news is that I get pro deals through Promotive.com. I wonder if the club could get hooked up with them? They actually sell Jeep stuff.

Little late to this thread, but me and my step dad put in my cb and it kept blowing fuses. We had to give up because I had work and he had to drive home to elko he just so happened to be out here. Today I went and bought more fuses and got it working. Then it caught fire. My jeep is fine, the wire was arcing off of my firewall. Live and learn I guess. Just scared the crap out of me!

I have a jet boil and love it!! The thing is amazingly fast!! Worth the weight. Titanium would be nice though.
