Brad, Could you do the spyntec conversion on it? Or contact dynatrac and see if they have a spindle hub conversion? I've also heard that dodge unit bearings are plug and play with JKs.

If you wanted to keep your housing for simplicity, you could always swap from the knuckles out to ultimate dana gear or dynatrac or ruffstuff or anyone else. Maybe this could be the easiest way but may cost more. But at this point I think fixing the issue is bigger then saving a few pennies.

Nothing is worse than having some small problem cripple your rig and spirit for the great outdoors. Keep your head up and let me know if you need help. I will gladly call manufactures and help find a solution!

Um...what?

I appreciate the ideas and am open to anything!

I talked to spin tech. I have Ford unit bearings with Dodge tone rings attached. They don't make a solution so it would be custom.

I wonder what Kevin's axle has and if I could use that...

So I'd need to switch to 5.38s. Switch to 8 lug. Switch to accept coil overs.

Is hi steer standard?

Yes, yes, yes, and yes.

Everything listed is standard. Not sure if you can just buy outers. Might be worth a call. That might be the best option if they can do outers.

I wouldn't be scared away from custom machined hubs if everything else in the kit is standard. As long as locking hubs are the weak link and you keep the bearings greased, the hub seems like a forever part to me.

Also sounds like the Spyntec ordered with blank or custom machined hub/tone ring still might be the easiest in terms of not having to regear or redo steering.

Or if you think the issue is curries source for unit bearings: http://www.branikmotorsports.c.....dana60.htm

Actually thinking about the frequency of unit bearing issues, have you had alignment? All bearings been on one side? Positive camber would point me to manufacturing defect, negative to a bent C.

Ya your positive camber has always concerned me. Positive camber is never a sought after thing and normally points to bad, bent, or broken

I get my jeep alligned every 1000 miles ish. Every spring and every fall. I haven't done my fall alignment however because of this problem. Cost of my tires supports them!

Replacing a unit bearing takes 90 minutes.

BUT when you have the steering tone sensor replaced you better have all your keys present so they get recoded!

Otherwise, your jeep runs and then cuts out. Then goes dead!

Were you able to get them re-coded?

How do the tone rings affect the keys? Just wondering because I swapped out my axles without issue. Or will my spare key not work now? I'll have to try it.

The tone ring I struggled with was in my steering column. Not on the axles.

Now it looks like one of my sensors is bad. Ill need to order it and swap it out m however it requires me to take off my rotors.

At least I can drive the jeep again. And my LED lights are awesome! 10x the light over srock. I was worried about blinding oncoming cars so I conservatively posted them lower. They are awesome when you pull behind a Prius, or Mini Cooper at a stoplight. It lights up the inside of their car like daylight!

I don't know. Mine were 200 bucks total and I bet they are brighter than both the truck lights and the JB speaker brands.

How do you not know what brand they are Brad? You're killing me!! I need new headlights ASAP!!! I don't want to spend $400. I see that procomp is coming out with a set of LED headlights but they are only available for Pre order with a delivery in April. Looks like price will be around $275.

Um...what?

They were a Christmas gift off eBay I believe. Just search over there. If I could post a pic it would make them easy to identify. They are CREE LEDs, supposedly.
