That four 37" Goodyear MT/R Kevlars fit in the back of an LJ.
It turns out one of the guys at my academy could hook me up with a discount through Tire Rack. Only problem was I had to drive to Sparks Nevada to get them. I just got in from trying to mount my beadlocks. So far beadlocks are winning. Two hours to mount the first one. Second wasn't going as easy so decided to turn in for the night. I'll tackle the rest on Friday.

Why? What's taking so long? Mine took about 15 minutes a tire to get on, whether I mounted a 12.50 tire or a 13.50 tire. Getting them off the rim was an entirely different story. It took me more than 30 minutes to get one off the rim, and my back was killing me.

I know that feeling. Do you at least have access to an air compressor with a 20 gallon tank? Without a decent compressor, it can be hard to set that inner bead. let me know if you need help after Friday. I may be able to stop by, or you could run them up to my house to mount them. Do you have any photos?

I do have access to a compressor. Thanks for the offer. I will try and take some pics later today. Im graduating my Acadamey next week so that should free up some time for me to come to a meeting and some runs. That way you can check out the tires for yourself. I am impressed bx them. I think they are true to size also.

If you didn't get them mounted already, some things that really help the process are soapy water and a warm day. Mounting tires on the beadlocks goes a lot easier when the tires are warm and spray the tires liberally with the soapy water mix. Tire irons help quite a bit too though and if you're using balancing beads, don't forget to put them in before you get all those bolts tightened down!
Oh yeah, another thing that helps - when you're putting the rings on and tightening the bolts, put the wheel on top of a 5 gallon bucket, it helps to let the tire droop around the edges of the bucket when getting the ring on there and also helps get it centered.
Out in the garage collecting parts....

I can tell you that my 40x13.50x17 MTR Kevlars weight 116 pounds each

Alright, I got them mounted and all I can say about these tires is that they are SMOOOOOOTH!!! I feel like I am riding on street tires. I ran out to prairie city today. They did awesome in the rocks. They weren't so good in the thick mud. But I am happy with them. They aren't very loud at all. It's almost disappointing. Heres some pics.

The Kevlars hook up good when inflated, but they are incredible when you drop them to 5 or 7 pounds in the rocks!!!!! With those beadlocks you can drop them down to 5 or 8 pound with no probelm. Your only limitation when the tires are that low is your steeing. You stock box will have a hard time turning tires that low in the rocks.

No doubt there is a lot more $$ that needs to go into my jeep. I only bought the wheels because I got a KILLER deal on them. Next up will be rock sliders, skid plates, rear cromo shafts and a cage.

I'll agree with that. I still need to get one. I have a nice dent in mine and now the gauge will only read down to 1/8. I almost ran out of gas thinking I had plenty left. Luckily I was able to sputter home and then took my jerry can to the gas station. 😯
