You gotta pay to play the game but geeezzz..
I took the beast in to have the diffs checked and change the fluid and inspect everything from the MOAB trip. I had a leak coming from the rear diff. The diagnosis was that something had gotten wedged in the pinion seal and that was causing the leak (new seal $$), with the diffs off we discovered that my rear ring gear had chipped a tooth and there were stress fractures on the adjacent teeth so that has to be replaced. Not sure what happened here, I did everything right.. Hopping at Prarie City -Check, Peeling out with the new Hemi-Check, over flexing in Moab and causing the rear driveshaft to touch the skid plates-check, I don't know what happened... ❓ (New ring/pinion/bearrings $$$) The front looked good, just needed new fluid (diff service $$).
I was hoping to get a roll cage this month, but I'll probably wait till next month assuming I don't break anything between now and then..

Running a hp any thing in the rear is not going to be as strong as a low pinion because you are then running on the coast side o the gears. It will cause increased deflection on the pinion gear and you will go through pinion bearings faster. That is why hp are in the front. You run the same problem with a low pinion in the front, it is on the coast side gears.
