Jeep JK Rotor Upgrades

I need to replace the front brake rotors on my JK. The passenger side is severely warped, and grooved (likely from frequently towing my boat that exceeds the vehicle tow rating by about double!). When I looked on rockauto.com, there are a number of different manufacturers of OEM style, and upgraded rotors for the JK. Some of these are slotted, grooved, vented, or all three. Has anyone had any experience with upgraded rotors, or can recommend a brand, and type?

Similar to OEM:

Here's a few of their upgraded options:

i would try the slotted
either the slotted or the wholes would allow for quiker cooloing

I recommend the teraflex big brake kit. The rotors and calipers are larger and have greater stopping force. I also recommend the reraflex bigger brake booster. Pushes more fluid for more clamping. Better for larger wheel and tires and trailers.

I've definitely considered the TeraFlex kit, as it seems like a solid setup, but I am a little unclear on whether I am then locked into using proprietary, expensive pads. Do you know if you can purchase standard brake pad replacements for this, or do you have to use TeraFlex pads?

When I did mine I went with the ebc slotted rotors and yellow stuff pads - they are noisy at times and the first brake session or two when cold is definitely weak but after that there is a deffinate improvment - I really wanted to do the tera big brake but didnt want to pay for it at the time. A good set of rotors and pads did deffinatly make a difference on my jk
