Not talking about brand here, I'll consider that later. I am wanting to know everyones thoughts as to a light bar difference in straight VS curved. Advantages VS disadvantages. Besides the "look" and the obvious that one is straight and other is not. I'd like to know what you have found while wheeling at night is one better than the other and why.
If I can't build it, then it's something that should be bought.

Hopefully Jeff will chime in. I now he doesn't get on the board much. He has a curved bar on his dodge I believe and I have a straight bar on my jeep. I've never used my straight bar and thought man, I wish I had more light or more spread. It's a 1000x better then running just my headlights.
Since you don't want to speak brand, I won't mention names here, but one company has a patent on curved light bars. So this means that if a company hasn't already been making curved bars before the patent, they can't produce curved bars. With that being said, your curved bar options will be limited. That may not matter depending on who you want to go with, but just food for thought.
I will throw out that only one company does the dual amber/white bars, and I am very pleased with having the option.
P.S. Is Shredder a reference to your rig or to the Ninja Turtles?
Um...what?

The only difference in my curved and gregarious straight bar is just that! It's a look thing. They all have a certain number of spots and floods built in to them. A flood light is not going to give you a significant amount more light if you turn it 3 degrees to the right or left. If you want light thrown out to the sides, get two small pods and aim them off to the sides. My 2 cents.
